Late 19th.c. Mahogany Glass Cabinet.
Unusual late 19th.c. mahogany display cabinet c.1890. Super quality timber,
crisply carved with blind fretwork, fluted sides, a floral centre panel
and attractively shaped tracery across the glazing. In exceptional
condition, retaining the plush lining to the shelves as well the
original bevelled glass and mirrored back boards. What really lifts the cabinet
above it’s more run of the mill contemporaries, however, is the stylish
mirrored top supported on either side by three beautifully shaped
turned columns suggestive of the art nouveau and arts and crafts
movements of the period.
