A fine longcase clock with eight day works by William Owen of Llanrwst c.1810. Featuring an attractive painted face decorated with birds and a working date wheel. Excellent oak case of particularly good colour and finish. With turned columns, brass mounts and distinctive ogee molding and a ‘slap on’ panel to the base; both vernacular details typical of Conwy valley cabinet making.
Inside the door carries a signed, dated and numbered label from the survey of Llanrwst clocks carried out by Colin Brown in collaboration with the Welsh Folk Museum at St Fagans in preparation for his superb book The Clockmakers of Llanrwst.
A fine Welsh clock by the celebrated Owens of Llanrwst in superb condition. The works have been cleaned and overhauled and are sold with a twelve month guarentee.

Wonderful early 20th.c. clock and lamp c.1900. With a splendid 15″ tall gilded spelter figure of a girl after the great French sculptor Auguste Louis Mathurin Moreau (1834 – 1917) signed on the base. French works striking on a bell, enamel face, onyx case. Cleaned, overhauled, rewired and PAT tested. The clock works are  sold with a 12 month guarantee.

Handsome late 18th.c. longcase clock with eight day works by Watkin Owen of Llanrwst, the most celebrated Welsh clockmaker of his age. Good slim Conwy valley oak case boasting hood with turned columns and original painted parchment panels below the broken pediment top, reeded quarter columns, shaped door repeated in the base panel and crisply carved ogee molding. Painted face by Wilson of Birmingham decorated with birds and flowers and featuring working date wheel display. Original weights and pendulum. The works have been cleaned and overhauled and are sold together with a twelve month guarentee.
