A good early 19th.c. mule chest featuring a lift up lid
with storage below but also two rows of working drawers (the
top row being dummy drawer fronts). Lots of good period detail with a
thumb molded top, mahogany crossbanding, rope twist stringing, quarter
coloumns, oak panelled sides, oak drawer linings, shaped skirt and
original bracket feet. Excellent colour and condition, restored and
repolished in our workshops.

Constructed entirely of dense early oak of the best quality and aged to
beautiful colour and patina this wonderful large North Wales oak mule
chest c.1760 is a wonderful piece of period country furniture. Three plank top opening on original post and hole rather than hinges,
square fielded panels on all sides, a panelled back and three drawers
with heavy oak linings in the base.
